The other option would be a crank motor like the Tongsheng TSDZ2, these are very popular with recumbent riders here in the UK and Ive installed quite a few over the last couple of years, but long-term reliability is questionable and there is a noticeable increase in pedalling resistance when the motor is switched off (or runs out of battery power).
